Finally..

F..i..n..a..ll..y..

FINALLY 2 months of attachments ended man. Phew~ been "warded" to IMH for 2 wks, KKH for 2 wks and last of all NUH for one hole month (ahhhh!!!) and in between the one month of attachment , I took "home leave" for 1 wk to go for my Mt. Ophir Expedition. And yea I had to make up on my break week alone… and ya thanks fadzly for dedicating the song "Lonely" to me.. lolx. Been in and out of NUH alone, taking mrt alone, taking bus alone, staring alone, eating alone and struggling alone.

Attachment in IMH was the attachment I enjoyed the most. Not forgetting the attachment in KKH too, had a fun time at there especially with Nadiah and Jennifer. I missed our singing.. lolx. Then one month in NUH was.. mmm.. shiok ah.. haha.. In that ward, it seen like a "Pre-PRCP training center" whereby we students are required to take case. And from there I took my first case and passed my first report. In that ward, there were 3 SNs we named them the Powerpuffs gals, as they 3 were the most powerful SNs in the ward. So if we students are "lucky" enough to be under them, then all the best to us. Lolx. And in one of the shifts, the 3 PPG were in the same shift sia. Ayea Ruya man. You can see the word "Mercy" written across our face on that day. Lolx. It was damn stressful as they will keep throwing you questions and when you throw back the ans to them they will throw you back another question again so it’s like never ending. And you will probably see us most of our free time buried our heads in the MIMS, as we required to know each and every medications’ indications and side effects too or else they will say "if you dun even know the side effects of the drugs how are u going to serve med. to your patients? Huh I ask you?!" hahaha… Then we had to call for porter ah, paged for doctor ah, tracing for results ah.. everything you do la haha. Then the 3rd last day where I was under one of the PPGs, I had to take 3 cases, of cuz I cant say no or else she call Mo Jojojo to come and haunt me how.. LOL.. but lucky at the end of the shift she said I did quite well for that day.. phew~~

But the saddest part in the onco ward is seeing patients leaving us.. patients who are young too.. till now I still have their faces in my mind.. It’s very heartbreaking for me to see the relatives crying so sadly and helplessly especially when those mortuary ppl came and take the body away. Sometimes I was thinking when we nurses become so immune in seeing deaths that we becum a human without feelings…. Well I really cant imagine when it happened to my love ones.. I really don’t dare to think of it..

After all although this one month in this ward was super stressful and hard especially we had so many of our ‘first time’ over there, but I really had a really good harvest over there, it’s been a very fruitful month for me. Learnt a lot of new things, and thanks for all the SNs over there been so open to let us learn and do everything, and not forgetting the ANs and the housekeepers too! Had a fun time with them! Lolx.

Next stop: school reopening for 3rd year.
