struggled to wake myself up @ 5.30 this morning...
reached ward 52 @ 7.50am..
a neat ward is my first impression.. haha..
n dis time round is a B-class ward, 4 bedded..
but de aircon is very C..O..L..D..brrrr....
dis ward is a orthopaedic cum surgical ward..
can't find our lecturer around..
so sista tina brought us around de ward for orientation.
volunteered myself to do dressing for bed *.
den we r spiltted up into teamA n teamB..
get to observe one of de student nurse changing a very deep wound.
o my god is my first reaction when i get to c de wound..
tendons n red flesh can be seen.. gosh..
got freaked up when i noe that i have to change bed ** patient' wound whereby the wound was crushed by a machine.
horrible images of a crushed finger began to run through my mind.
more butterflies in my stomach when sista tina is testing my dressing procedure.
lucky i got through.. phew..
my hand trembled when i was cleaning de wound.. haha..
bone and flesh can be seen..
trying to calm myself down.. haha..
lucky got sista tina assisting me.

later keep myself busy by making beds n copied a whole list of antibiotic codes.
it was quite boring as there is not much thing to be done.
but able to entertain ourselves as today we are all in one big group,
n time went quite fast indeed.
skipped my lunch during break time as i have no appetite..
dunnoe y le todae de stomach weird weird de.. feel so bloated n nausea..
so i spend my 1 hr break chatting w the student nurses fr other groups..
fun to know them.. haha..
later in de afternoon part..
we get to witness one minor surgery which is done in de ward.
almost fainted when i see de doc drilling a metal rod through the pt's tibia bone.
de purpose of doing this is to pull de bone back into the straight position,
as de pt's bone over de pelvic areas are fractured.. (something littat.. not so sure..)
end my day by taking TPR..
reached home @ 5.15pm.
almost dozed off when reading book in de train on de way back..
zZZzz.. so tired..
spent my evening watching tv w half-opended eyes and helping mum to prepare for dinner.
going to turn in soon..
tml have to wake up @ 4.30am..
